Easy Chocolate Banana Bread (With Just 2 Bananas!)
You know those two sad bananas sitting on the counter that no one wants to touch because theyโre too ripe? The ones your kids look at with utter disgust? This recipe is how we redeem them. With a little cocoa powder and love, weโre turning those spotted fruits into a rich, chocolatey loaf that tastes more like dessert than breakfast. This recipe is perfect for an afternoon snack or quick dessert in the evening.

In our house, banana bread is always a hit, but I love giving it a chocolatey twist for added depth. The chocolate chips on top? Optional, technicallyโbut letโs be honest, mandatory. This recipe is so simple that the kids can help!

- ยฝ tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp milk (plus up to 1 tbsp more as needed)
- Chocolate chips for topping (optional but encouraged)

Instructions

Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat together softened butter and sugar until light and creamy (about 2 minutes).
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

- Bake for 40โ50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean (a few moist crumbs is okayโjust not wet batter).
- Let cool in the pan for 10โ15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Cool completely for best slicing, if you can wait that long.
