The Only Salsa Recipe You’ll Ever Need
Years ago, a mom friend shared this salsa recipe with me—and after countless batches and experiments, I still come back to this one every time. It’s fresh, simple, and packed with flavor. The secret? Stewed tomatoes. They give it that rich, deep tomato taste that store-bought salsa just can’t match.

This recipe is so easy, you’ll wonder why you ever bought salsa in a jar. Make it once, and you’ll be hooked.
Ingredients:
- 1 onion
- 1 bunch of cilantro
- 1 can of stewed whole tomatoes (or stew your own)
- 2–3 jalapeños (adjust to taste)
- 2–3 cloves of garlic
- Juice of 1 lime
- ½–1 tablespoon salt (depending on your preference)

Directions:
Drain the juice from the stewed tomatoes. Chop the onion and jalapeño into large chunks. Throw everything into a blender or food processor and pulse until it’s the consistency you like. That’s it!
If you like it spicier, add an extra jalapeño—or toss in a habanero if you’re feeling bold.
This salsa is bright, fresh, and goes with everything from chips to tacos to eggs. No preservatives, no junk—just real, vibrant flavor in every bite. After this, you’ll never look at store-bought salsa the same way again. Comment below if you try this recipe!
